UT Avoids Red Tape by Making Purchase with the BuyBoard Contract

When the University of Tennessee was ready to upgrade furniture in several classrooms last Summer, the first question they asked was about our purchasing contracts. As most colleges have learned, why fall in love with a product if you won’t be allowed to make the purchase. Luckily, UT was a member of the BuyBoard National Purchasing Cooperative.

The BuyBoard contract is open to all government agencies, including universities, community colleges and school districts. Institutions join BuyBoard to take advantage of the streamlined purchasing process which complies with procurement laws of each participating state. The best part, membership is FREE. The photos below were taken at the University of Tennessee after installing their new Hide-Away tables. UT selected this patented table to create multi-use classrooms. The LCD’s can be UP for a technology class and “hidden-away” for a general purpose lecture.
