Instructor-Led Classrooms
Creating a functional/comfortable instructor-led environment has always been very challenging. Introducing computers into the classroom has revolutionized learning, but often creates an obstruction between the student and the teacher. In 1990, we introduced the Split-level classroom table. This recessed monitor concept quickly became a huge hit. This table design allows faculty to have eye contact with all students. It also creates a clear “line-of-sight” for students. This table has evolved over the past decade to include semi-recessed LCD platforms and fully recessed designs for testing centers. Examples of these tables can be seen in the pictures below.
