Recessed Monitor Table (single) Hide-Away Table Carrel Testing Table (dedicated)

Computer Comforts Inc., designs and manufactures computer furniture for Testing Centers. Our product solutions are a result of discussions with testing center managers, proctors, etc. We have identified 3 distinct testing scenarios which have unique furniture requirements.

1. Traditional Paper Testing
2. Combination paper/computer testing
3. Dedicated computer testing

Although we have been told that traditional paper testing will be a thing of the past, we still see the need to offer a solution for this environment. Our furniture design will allow you to evolve from a paper test environment to a computer based testing environment, using the same furniture with modular add-on components.

1. Testing carrels: These traditional “looking” carrels are ideal for paper testing. This solution is very affordable and easy to reconfigure by specifying single, double or 4 student tables. These freestanding tables can be arranged in clusters (islands) or wrapped around the perimeter of the room. Since all tables include cable management trays, if your needs change to computer testing, simply add CPU holders and LCD monitor bracket. If your testing center does both (paper/computer), you can add a keyboard drawer. This will allow a clear workspace for paper testing, with access to all computer equipment when needed.
   
   
2. Semi-Recessed computer LCD monitor table: We have created a table for a semi-recessed LCD monitor. When combining this concept with a LCD privacy screen, you eliminate the need for tabletop dividers (carrel design). This privacy screen, which mounts to the face of an LCD, prohibits viewing the monitor from any side-angle. Therefore, students on either side cannot view the computer screen. Only the student sitting directly behind the computer screen can see. The semi-recessed design also obstructs the view of students sitting in the rows behind the tester. Add a computer keyboard drawer and this table is also perfect for paper testing. Again, free workspace with access to computer equipment when required. By eliminating the tabletop carrel/dividers, you now have a true multi-purpose classroom, which is also functional for traditional instructor-led classes.
   
   
3. Fully recessed computer LCD monitor: For dedicated testing environments we have developed a table design which fully recesses the monitor for complete privacy. This innovative design mounts the LCD to a slanted recessed platform for comfortable viewing of tester. This affordable solution is considered the next generation for testing tables. The old fashion monitor-under-glass concept is now obsolete. This table eliminates the glass, therefore eliminating all of the inherent problems with this old concept (glare, fingerprints, glass scratches, etc). You are creating a multi-purpose environment, ideal for traditional instructor-led classes as well.
